Community Support: Charitable Donation
As a dedicated member of our community, we are incorporating a charitable donation into our Blowout Sale. This year, we have chosen The Aurora Food Pantry as our charity of choice. We are deeply grateful for the comforts our family enjoys, and we recognize that many in our community are struggling to make ends meet.
About The Aurora Food Pantry
The Aurora Food Pantry, serving Aurora and Oak Ridges since 1990, provides essential food assistance to those in need. Currently, they support around 400 families monthly, equating to 1,198 to 1,240 individuals, a significant increase from 2019 when they serviced 180 to 240 families per month. The growing demand reflects rising living costs and insufficient support for minimum wage earners, social assistance recipients, and seniors on fixed incomes. If these challenges persist, the need for their services is expected to rise further.
We aim to donate $20,000 to The Aurora Food Pantry by December 31st, 2024. To achieve this, 5% of our construction revenue from September 9th to December 31st, 2024, will go directly to the pantry. Here's how it works:
